I would describe my work as fantasy realism. I like to paint the beauty of nature but exaggerate the colours beyond reality. An example of this is the way I paint my grass and foregrounds. I love bright colours that leap out at you.
I believe good art keeps you interested and captivated. Strong use of contrast regarding light and dark is something I strive for in all my paintings, along with realistic skies and clouds. I perceive nature as neat and uncluttered and hope to convey this to the onlooker.

I usually work is applying an acrylic silhouette and under painting and apply oil on top of this, often painting in several stages.

I take special pride in every piece I do and If I’m not reluctant to let it go, then it’s not worthy of leaving my studio.
