Welcome to my creative realm/ online portfolio. I am Finley Wetton, an artist whose roots extend from the serene landscapes of the southwest. My artistic journey bought me from tranquillity to the bustling heart of London, where I blend my art, performance, storytelling, self-exploration, set, and costume design in a fusion of multimedia expression.

After moving from the picturesque Pewsey Vale, I embarked on a transformative journey that led me to Goldsmiths, University of London, in 2020. Today, as a distinguished graduate holding a degree in Fine Art. I’m ready for the world.

My Artistic trajectory is an intricate dance between world-building and the art of storytelling, conveyed through a multitude of mediums. With every brushstroke, every line drawn, every word written, and every line sung, I contribute to the narrative of my creations. This fusion of imagination and technique enables me to craft multidimensional worlds that transcend reality, and however, are still rooted in interpersonal relationships.

Beneath the surface of my work lies an exploration of the unseen- both within ourselves and in the world we inhabit. In addition to world-building, my art delves into the nuances of sexuality, the significance of being a gay man within our culture, and the intricate masquerade of masculinity. I question and dissect the gender roles embedded within the patriarchy, inviting conversations about authenticity and identity.

Expanding beyond the canvas, my love of theatre encompasses not only the visual arts but also the intricate worlds of set and costume design. The union of creativity finds its climax in performances that merge character, wit, introspective poetry, and captivating visuals. Drawing inspiration from the theatre, I curate experiences that resonate deeply and provoke thought through characters.

Art, a universal language, transcends boundaries, inviting diverse perspectives into an unspoken dialogue. As you navigate my portfolio, you’ll unearth the essence of my creative odyssey. Welcome to ME! For my final project I wanted to explore myself, which led me to the realisation that I’m a narcissist. I focused my project on self -obsession through painting, film and performance focusing on vanity and morality. (Dorian Gray Style)

Under Graduate Finley Wetton was accepted by five top Art Schools. He has chosen Goldsmiths London to undertake his degree in the arts.
