Henderson Cisz

Henderson Cisz –Brazil 1960
Born in Brazil Henderson moved to England in 1985 to Study art. Although he started out in banking, he rightly decided to make his passion his profession. He studied figurative fine art at art school in London and was first recognised as an up and coming artist from his very recognisable sparse beachscapes, flooded with the daylight or the fiery sunsets so instantly recognisable.

A seasoned traveller, Henderson has spent time in Europe, Australia and of course his native South America. While he loves the ocean and has always found its source of inspiration, he is also a true city – dweller, and many of his most inspired works feature scenes from the world’s most beautiful Cities.

In the last few years Henderson Cisz has built up quite a reputation for his colourful city-scapes. Painting in acrylic or oil, Henderson’s trademark palette utilises cool, soft tones to convey the atmosphere of his subject. His works are regularly exhibited with recognised galleries in London and at major international art fairs and have become very much sought after in the collectable art world.

Fine Art Trade Guild award for Artist of the Year in 2007 and awarded the John Solomon Trophy (“awarded annually to the artist judged to have made the greatest impact on the art market”).
