Paintings with strange and more or less unreal creatures with landscapes in the background, are the subject of this project….

Aneta Kordala – 1983 Poland

I’m inspired by important questions, which every human being asks. Faith, solitude, God, destination, aims and purpose of human life. I’m trying to find the answer to my questions while I’m painting and my works are the result of this process. It is more emotional than intellectual or conceptual.

Paintings with strange and more or less unreal creatures, with landscapes in the background, depict human’s solitude when it’s necessary to make an important decision in life or when we meet death, sorrow, pain, happiness, joy. We are always alone even when we have a lot of friends and we are surrounded by hundreds of people. This is the price we pay for being free.
