Drawing and painting by the sea are an essential part of my work, using sketchbook drawings, paintings and photographs as a way of recording and gathering information. These are used as a starting point, and are a response to the movement, sounds and waves of the oceans at their wildest.
Once started , the paint takes on a life of its own giving a loose and natural way of interpreting and understanding the experience of the sea.
