This Rolling Hills series are painted in a representational abstraction using mixed media and gold leaf to highlight light reflection.
Janet Rogers –
Rogers work is very much influenced by the work of Samuel Palmer, a 19th century English painter. The most recent work is abstract using mixed media and special techniques, incorporating gold leaf. Her style has a timeless quality and the colours complement and harmonize with any setting.
Trained at Reigate College of Art, gaining a Surrey Diploma in Textile Design. Rogers then worked for Heal Fabrics in London and later worked as Art Editor at an Oxford publisher.
Her exhibitions include the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, where she was selected by the Financial Times as one of the most promising newcomers, and the Royal Society of Miniatures Annual Exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London.
These striking mixed media works are memorable compositions which would grace any collection
