I later attended Falmouth School of Art to study illustration, and I am currently studying graphic design at Swindon Art School. I have sketched the Wiltshire landscape over a number of years and have recently become interested in painting landscape more seriously. I am influenced by the French impressionists and especially the Scottish colourists. Originally, I was more interested by tonal values in paint, but now I am more taken by the sometimes very strong colours in the west of England landscape which I convey in my work. My recent working trip to Cornwall has inspired my latest works namely Cornish Riviera Gardens overlooking the Falmouth bay.
