          I was formally trained in Fine Art at the Buckinghamshire Chiltern Art College.

A large part of my inspiration is from frequently painting the coastline of South Devon and Cornwall. I aim to capture the light, the movement and the atmosphere. I work in acrylic and oil and enjoy the expressive qualities of oil paint. I work mainly from sketches and studies made on location and then develop large paintings in the studio.

The weather conditions are constantly changing, and I thrive on the challenge of having to work quickly. I recently visited Cape Cornwall where I stayed in a small Cornish cottage on the coast path which is depicted in one of my recent paintings.
