Tricia Moss
I am a London based mixed media, contemporary artist. Having spent the last ten years painting mostly still life, in oil, being influenced by the Scottish colourists, I have now branched out somewhat and there is a shift in my work.
Expressive, colourful and textured paintings are influenced by a love of nature, in particular water, having been brought up by the sea in Sussex, as well as urban life in London. Art and life as one.
Experimentation, through printmaking, using woodcuts, and Gel press, making my own collage papers and using acrylic paint have taken me on a different path. I have moved towards painting abstractly, working with more emotive expression and exploration of self.
My love of colour, pattern and texture lends itself to this new and exciting world. My aim is to paint bigger, bolder, more soulful and expressive pieces
